The IV Batch of XAT 2024 coaching was inaugurated on 09.08.2023. Rev. Fr. Poondy Rajan, SJ, Director, Loyola Student Support Services (LSSS) began with a Prayer and Rev. Dr. Joe Arun, SJ, Director, LIBA shared the aim and dynamics of XAT coaching. 21 students from Loyola, Chennai, 20 students from Loyola College, Vettavalam and 40 students from Loyola College, Mettala were screened and selected by LSSS. Rev. Dr. Antony Robinson, Rector, Loyola College Institutions, said that the event was one of the cherished moments of Jesuits. He asked the students to have complete confidence in themselves and a positive attitude towards clearing the XAT/CAT examination. Rev. Fr. Louis Arockiaraj, SJ, Principal, Loyola College, Chennai, felicitated the students by mentioning three pointers namely: 1. Focus 2. Confidence 3. Perseverance to be successful in life. Prof. Lakshmi Narayanan, Dean of LIBA advised the students to work hard and encouraged them to join LIBA, while Rev. Dr. Samuel Jeyaseelan, SJ, Principal, LCM, encouraged the students to prepare and equip themselves in all aspects to clear the XAT entrance examination. Finally, Dr. D. Florence Isido, Vice Principal for Academics and Services, LSSS, Loyola College, Chennai proposed the vote of thanks. The aim of the programme was to develop a mind-set to focus on pursuing a management programme, understand the tools and techniques and handle various subjects in a competitive exam, gaining the confidence to do excellently in the entrance exam.
