Established in 1979, the Learning Resources at LIBA, has grown exponentially alongside the business school, becoming an integral part of its success. Over the years, it has earned a reputation as one of the country’s finest and most comprehensive resource centers dedicated to management studies, catering to the diverse needs of faculty, staff, alumni, and research scholars.

The repository at LIBA’s Learning Resources is a treasure trove, with over 37,000 physical books and approximately 46 print periodicals solely focused on management topics. Embracing modernity, the collection goes beyond traditional resources and extends to a vast array of e-resources, such as online databases like Web of Science, Elsevier Scopus, JSTOR, Refinitiv Eikon, Statista, NDLI, ClaOnline, Sage Journals, and Turnitin, a plagiarism detection software, along with a diverse collection of e-books. Additionally, the library subscribes to numerous leading Indian newspapers, keeping patrons well-informed.

The learning environment is designed with cutting-edge aesthetic technology, spread across an impressive 20,000 square feet. The first floor features a dedicated digital section furnished with Japanese style furniture, creating a dynamic and modern space for learning. The Learning Resources facility ensures patrons’ security with door access control, strategically placed cameras, RFID tags on books, RFID gate antennas, and digital attendance devices for users. The book lending/borrowing process is streamlined and automated, offering self-check-in/check-out kiosks, as well as a manual circulation counter issue/return staff station, all facilitated by the efficient ERP application. Furthermore, 24/7 internet connectivity powered by Wi-Fi technology allows users to access resources anytime, fostering an environment conducive to self-study and research.
Key activities and offerings of our Learning Resources Center (LRC) which play a vital role in enriching the educational experience at LIBA – The Reader’s Guild Group. This initiative aimed at fostering a community of readers and promoting a love for learning among students. It also provides an inclusive and dynamic environment where students can explore, engage, and grow as lifelong learners. One of the highlights of the LRC calendar is the Library Week Celebrations, featuring an exciting Book Fair, which adds an element of fun and enthusiasm to the learning process.
Furthermore, to accommodate the diverse schedules of its users, the Learning Resources remains open seven days a week. This accessibility underscores the library’s commitment to promoting continuous learning and knowledge acquisition among the LIBA community.
